Our 15th anniversary tour was such a big success, we’ll have to go back to the USA and Canada during the ‘Indian Summer’ of 2024. We ride from Anchorage in Alaska to Los Angeles California. Through Canada and the USA we visit a rich variety of national parks. It is just too much to mention. And let’s not forget: the riding is just fantastic and adventurous. We guarantee a ‘Once-in-a-Lifetime’ experience with PeruMotors.
Please note: On about 15 % of the distance of this tour (= 1.500 kilometers / 930 miles), we will be riding on well maintained unpaved roads. These roads are normally easy to conquer, but it will help you if you are (at least) familiar with gravel/dirt riding.
For the asphalt-tigers amongst us, we will find in most cases paved alternatives.

On day one you will arrive in Anchorage AK – USA. We will pick you up from the airport and bring you to the hotel. Your tour guide will do the briefing for the whole group about the upcoming tour. And he will arrange all the necessary paperwork with you.
Anchorage´s ride out is easy with direction Wasilla. We try to do the gravel Hatchers pass road, a great start of our tour in Alaska. Lunch in nice town of Talkeetna. The afternoon will be with our first Alaska feeling, the Parks Highway with close ride next to North American tallest peak, the Denali (formerly Mt McKinley). From here we go eastwards and take some great rides on The Denali and Top of the World Highway. After a night in Cowboy village Dawson City, we go most of it only Southwards. A visit to Skagway can’t be missed. This week is also the best option to see the Aurora Borealis.
Time to see some spectacular wild life, Glaciers and curvy roads. From Canada, to USA, back to Canada. Border crossings are very easy and won’t cost us a lot of time. From Watson Lake we go back in the direction of the Pacific Ocean to visit Steward Glacier, Grizzlies, Salmon and more. All with great sceneries. From here we go inland, climb in altitude towards Prince George. Even we go South, temps are colder here at early mornings and at night.
Criss crossing the Rocky Mountains, all the way to Banff National Park. From Jasper NP we take the ‘Icefields Parkway’, an epic 250 km. road, commonly regarded as one of the most visually stunning road trips in the world. Arriving in Lake Louise, after 2 weeks on the bike, it’s time to relax, enjoy a rest day and/or do some sight-seeing.
Via small (gravel) roads we enter the USA and say goodbye to Canada. The first place is a ride on the scenic ‘Going to the Sun road’. The surroundings are full with snowcapped mountains. From here we ride to a small village of Elk City and take an abandoned road to Salmon village, the Magruder Corridor. Ending this week near Teton National Park. Another highlight, big chance to see the American Buffalos here.
Arriving in the dry and hot weather, as well of the famous national parks, like: Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Death Valley, Yosemite and Sequoia. The rides for the last 2 weeks are absolute marvelous, where we ride most of it through the parks. Having a well-deserved rest day at Lars Vegas between the 2 weeks. (or rest day, there is so much to do, and see in LV, you might need another vacation)
Just before we surrender the bikes in Los Angeles, we show you the last curvy roads downhill. Ending on the beach in sunny California. Almost 10.000 km on the clock.
