USA & Canada:
West Coast Sunset

  • Duration: 32 Days
  • Start: 1 September 2026
  • Price: from US$ 14,950.00 per rider

General information

Our 15th anniversary tour was such a big success, we decide to go back to the USA & Canada during the ‘Indian Summer’ of 2026. We ride from Anchorage in Alaska to Los Angeles California. Through Canada and the USA we visit a rich variety of national parks. It is just too much to mention. And let’s not forget: the riding is just fantastic and adventurous. We guarantee a ‘Once-in-a-Lifetime’ experience with PeruMotors.

Please note: On about 15 % of the distance of this tour (= 1.500 kilometers / 930 miles), we will be riding on well maintained unpaved roads. These roads are normally easy to conquer, but it will help you if you are (at least) familiar with gravel/dirt riding. For the asphalt-tigers amongst us, we will find in most cases paved alternatives.
We ride 6 days a week, and stay 1 day for 2 nights in a nice place.

Kitty

To avoid long waits during stops with paying all individually for just a cup of coffee or an ice cream, we normally install a group wallet ('Kitty') for these kind of costs. This makes everybody’s life easier, but only works when everybody participates in this. We suggest to start with a deposit of US$ 100.00 p.p. (cash only, please).

Week 1: Arrival in Anchorage (USA)

On day one you will arrive in Anchorage AK – USA. We will pick you up from the airport and bring you to the hotel. Your tour guide will do the briefing for the whole group about the upcoming tour. And he will arrange all the necessary paperwork with you.
Anchorage´s ride out is easy with direction Wasilla. We try to do the gravel Hatchers pass road, a great start of our tour in Alaska. Lunch in nice town of Talkeetna. The afternoon will be with our first Alaska feeling, the Parks Highway with close ride next to North American tallest peak, the Denali (formerly Mt McKinley). From here we go eastwards and take some great rides on The Denali and Top of the World Highway.
We cross the border to Canada into the Yukon, with an overnight stay in Dawson City, the former 'Wild Wild West'. Then south bound, via Skagway to Watson Lake.
Hopefully we can see the Aurora Borealis.

Week 2: Canada

We are already a few days in Canada. Now it is time to see some spectacular wild life, glaciers and curvy roads. From Watson Lake we go back in the direction of the Pacific Ocean to visit Steward Glacier, Grizzlies, Salmon and more. All with great sceneries. From here we go inland, climb in altitude towards Prince George. Even we go South, temps are colder here at early mornings and at night.
Criss crossing the Rocky Mountains. Over the ‘Icefields Parkway’, an epic 250 km. road, commonly regarded as one of the most visually stunning road trips in the world. All the way to Banff National Park. Here we stay 2 nights, it’s time to relax, enjoy a rest day and/or do some sight-seeing.

Week 3: Wyoming, Idaho, Utah & Colorado

For the last time we cross the border, now into the USA. If time and weather permit we ride the scenic ‘Going to the Sun road’. The surroundings are full with snowcapped mountains. From here we ride south bound to Yellowstone. Further south, via Dinosaur NP, to Colorado Monument. This unknown place is one of the most beautiful places in the USA. The week ends in Moab UT, where we stay 2 nights.

Week 4 & 5: La(r)s Vegas and a series of National Parks

Slowly we arrive in the dry and hot weather, as well at the famous national parks, like: Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Death Valley, Yosemite and Sequoia. The rides for the last 2 weeks are absolute marvelous, where we ride most of it through the parks. Having a well-deserved rest day at La(r)s Vegas between the 2 weeks. Although... rest day? There is so much to do, and to see in La(r)s Vegas, you might need another vacation.

Just before we surrender the bikes in Los Angeles, we show you the last curvy roads downhill. Ending on the beach in sunny California. About 12.000 km. on the clock.
