The best of Peru’s culture and all of the natural diversity of Peru passes by during this exciting motorcycle tour, and put this country in an unparalleled perspective.
From the start in the beautiful colonial city of Arequipa (UNESCO) this tour is a concatenation of highlights. The (mostly) paved roads are just spectacular. Absolute highlight is, of course, the lost Inca-city of Machu Picchu. Another highlight is the 2 night stay in an Amazon Jungle lodge. If you want to get to know Peru, this is your motorcycle tour. Our professional multi-lingual guide will bring you to the well-known places, but he won’t forget the less-known little marbles. This is what adventurous motorcycling is about !
In 17 days you will discover what Peru has to offer in cultural and natural beauty. Doing this on a motorcycle gives you an unforgettable experience. And, for your convenience, we’ve included most of the excursions and entrance fees!

Before (!) you complete your booking and first deposit, please read our “Terms & Conditions“ carefully.
Personal injury and death:
All our motorcycles are insured according to the minimum requirements of the Peruvian authorities (SOAT). This means that the rider, his passenger AND third parties are limited (!) covered for medical costs.
Nevertheless, we strongly advise our guests to get a health insurance with maximum coverage in Peru, for the length of this tour, because you don’t want to depend on the Peruvian SOAT-insurance.
Damage to the rental motorcycle and third party property damage:
All our motorcycles are standard NOT INSURED for damage to the rental motorcycle AND for property damage to third parties. The optional ‘Damage Reduction Insurance’ covers this kind of damage, with an excess/deductible of max. US$ 700.00, which is also the amount of the “Security Deposit” (cash or major credit card: Visa, MasterCard, Amex or Diners Club), and your maximum risk.
For this tour the insurance premium is US$ 300.00 per motorcycle.
Without this insurance the rider/renter of the motorcycle is fully liable for all costs of damage to the rental motorcycle and third party property. In this case the “Security Deposit” is US$ 2,500.00 (cash or major credit card), but your maximum risk is NOT LIMITED to this amount !
Please, read the complete insurance information for this tour.
Your arrival in Arequipa on day one. We will pick you up from the airport and bring you to the hotel. Your tour guide will do the briefing for the whole group about the upcoming tour. And he will arrange the necessary paperwork and the “Safety Deposit” for the motorcycle with you. The rest of the day is at leisure in Arequipa.
We start early. Finally it is time to start our engines and we are on the road. The first challenge is to get out of the big city. Then we follow the PanAmerican Highway north bound along the coast, passing several small towns, like: Camana and Atico. In the afternoon we find our destination of today, just north of Chala. The spot is unique on a natural bay. Next to the hotel are very interesting Inca ruins.
We follow the PanAmericana northbound, through one of the driest deserts in the world. On our way to Nasca, world famous for its geoglyphs and lines only visible for the sky. In the afternoon there is the possibility to do a half an hour flight over the pampa.
Again through the very dry desert, on our way to the most beautiful oasis in the Americas: Huacachina. An oasis as an oasis should look like. In the afternoon you have the possibility to ride the dune-buggies and do some sandboarding.
Now we are riding back to the coast, heading for the little fishermans town: Paracas. Here the boat trip to the Islas Ballestas (“Poor-Man’s-Galapagos-Islands”) is scheduled. After the boat ride we enter the spectacular Paracas National park on our motorcycles.
A long spectacular riding day lies ahead of us. We leave the desert behind and ascend into the mighty Andes. Soon we will be on serious altitudes and the ride is fantastic. An ever changing scenery on well-maintained curvy and windy roads. We end up in the big city of Ayacucho.
A long ride through the heart of the Andes. Mostly paved, but there could be also some unpaved stretches, with high mountains and deep ravines. This is what motorcycling is about !
The road is not even straight for one mile. Crossing the Andes again on curvy roads. Via Urubamba we enter “The Sacred Valley of the Inka’s”. The day ends in a nice hotel in Ollantaytambo, famous for its massive Inca fortress.
The absolute highlight of this tour: Machu Picchu. There is still no road to this magical place. So, early in the morning you go by train to the little town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo). From there it is half an hour by bus to the entrance of the citadel. After your visit to the ruins you go back to Ollantaytambo by train.
There is so much more Inca culture to discover in the region of Cusco. So, on the bikes again to the ancient capital of the Inca empire: Cusco. Along the road we can visit some more Inca sites. The rest of the day is at leisure in Cusco.
We leave the motorcycles a few days behind in Cusco, because we fly to Puerto Maldonado around noon. Upon arrival our hotel will pick us up at the airport and take us directly to the river docks. We board a boat, which brings us to our lodge in the middle of the Amazon Jungle. Here we stay for 2 nights. All meals and excursions are included in the package. If you are lucky you can see maybe a jaguar? Yesterday we saw one !
On day 13 we will leave the lodge early to go back to Puerto Maldonado for our flight back to Cusco. The rest of the day is at leisure in Cusco.
Back on the motorcycles again for a long ride over the Altiplano to the city on the shores of Lake Titicaca: Puno. A magnificent ride we could say. Passing towns like Sicuani and Juliaca. This last town is the equivalent of New Delhi in Peru. The traffic is chaotic and a little difficult to pass, but it is an experience you’ll never forget.
Early in the morning we go for the boat ride on Lake Titicaca for a visit to the world famous “Floating Islands of the Uros”. When we are back on the motorcycles, we’ll have to cross the Andes once again. A long ride to the Colca Canyon. But, the pay-offs are the spectacular views on the mighty Andes. We end the day near the town of Chivay. In a nice hotel and at the late afternoon we can visit natural hot springs.
An early start of the day, because the condors won’t wait for us. In about an hour, and 20 kilometers of unpaved roads, we will reach “Cruz del Condor” in the heart of the Colca Canyon. Here you can see the Andean Condor in flight in its natural habitat. An amazing experience. After the condors, we’ll have to go to the city where this tour started: Arequipa. We will reach the city in the afternoon.
Today we will bring you to the airport for your flight back home
