General information
Since our 15th anniversary tour in Europe we organized already several guided motorcycle tours in Western Europe. This time we start in Amsterdam (Netherlands) and we ride through Belgium, France and Switzerland to the Stelvio Pass in Italy. We will visit old cities and interested sites, e.g. WWI sites.
On our way back from the Stelvio Pass, we’ll have a rest day in beautiful Serfaus (Austria). Then around the border between Germany and Switzerland, see Neuschwanstein and the largest waterfall of Europe. Crossing the ‘Black Forest’, riding along the Moselle to Trier, the oldest city in Germany, with Roman (!) ruins. On our way to the region where the ‘Battle of the Bulge’ took place. Day 1: Arrival in Amsterdam (Netherlands)
You will arrive in Amsterdam (Netherlands) on day one, the vibrant city.
We will pick you up from the airport and bring you to the hotel. Your tour guide will do the briefing for the whole group about the upcoming tour. And he will arrange the necessary paperwork and the “Safety Deposit” for the motorcycle with you. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2: Amsterdam - Terneuzen (Netherlands)
In the morning the transfer to the motorcycle rental station. After all the paperwork, it is finally time to start our engines. Through the 'Green Heart' of Holland we ride to the world famous Kinderdijk. That is how the Dutch kept their feet dry. Then to the Rhine delta with a view of the Delta Works. The day ends close to the border with Belgium.
Day 3: Terneuzen (Netherland) - Froidchapelle (Belgium)
When we enter Belgium, we are on our way to the old city of Bruges. We will walk around in the old center. Back on the bikes we ride through Belgium all the way to our hotel for the day, close to the French border.
Day 4: Froidchapelle (Belgium) - Nancy (France)
Pretty fast we will cross the border into Northern France. We will see WWI trenches and a war cemetery. The day ends in Nancy, where we will see a magnificent light show after dinner on the central square.
Day 5: Nancy - Altkirch (France)
We enter the Elzas, a region which was German and French over the years. Now it is French. Visits to small towns with double culture are on the program. The riding is fantastic. A visit to the Bugatti museum in Mulhouse is optional.
Day 6: Altkirch (France) - Innertkirchen (Switzerland)
From France we ride into Switzerland where we must conquer the mighty Alps. Again a fantastic riding day. We stay the night in a typical motorcycle hotel.
Day 7: Innertkirchen (Switzerland) - Chiavenna (Italy)
In the morning we will walk the spectacular canyon of Aareschlucht. Once back on the bikes our target is Italy, over the amazing Swiss Alps.
Day 8 & 9: Chiavenna(Italy) - Serfaus (Austria)
Todays ride is one of the highlights of the whole tour, crossing several borders. First back into Switzerland and again back to Italy for a stop in duty-free Livigno. Then the climb to the Stelvio Pass on 2,760 meters (9,000 feet). The descent is just spectacular. Then crossing the border into Austria, where we will stay 2 nights in Serfaus. The rest day is for exploring the beautiful surroundings in the Alps.
Day 10: Serfaus (Austria) - Stühlingen (Germany)
After a well deserved resting day in the Alps, we are back on the bike, heading north. Just over the border in Germany we can see some glimps of Neuschwanstein, the world famous castle with modelled for Disney's castle of Cinderella. On our way to the largest waterfall of Europe in Schaffhausen.
Day 11: Stühlingen - Rastatt (Germany)

Our goal today is the city of Koblenz, where the rivers Rhine and Moselle meet.
Day 13: Koblenz - Trier (Germany)
An absolute highlight of the tour: the ride along the river Moselle and the grapevines. The riding finishes in the oldest city in Germany: Trier. Here we have time to visit several very interesting Roman (!) ruins.
Day 14: Trier (Germany) - Valkenburg (Netherlands)
Today is all about WWII. We start with a visit to a German WWII bunker complex as part of the Siegfried Linie. Then, passing Luxembourg, we ride to the town where the 'Battle of the Bulge' took place. The day finishes in the Netherlands at a massive American war cemetery.
Day 15: Valkenburg - Utrecht (Netherlands)
The first stretch today is on the freeway. In central Holland we take the back roads on our way to the rental station, where we will surrender our bikes. The transfer brings us to our hotel in Utrecht, where we will have our farewell dinner in the heart of the historic center of the most beautiful city in the Netherlands.
